What it does
When mail starts landing in spam, a blacklist is one of the first things to rule out. Generic checkers query dozens of lists nobody reads and report "clean" when a list simply did not answer.
Blacklist watch checks the lists inbox providers and spam filters consult before they decide where your mail lands, and tells you plainly when a list could not be checked.
How it works
- Enter the domain you send from, and the IPs your mail leaves from if you know them.
- We look them up on Spamhaus (DBL and ZEN), SURBL and Barracuda. Each list is tested first, so a list that would not answer us is shown as unknown, never as clean.
- You also see your DMARC policy.
- For every listing you get what it means and where to request removal.
Getting the most from it
- Fix the cause before you request removal. A list that delists you while the problem is still there will list you again.
- Run Email domain health alongside it: missing SPF, DKIM or DMARC records cause more spam-folder problems than blacklists do.
