What it does

Picking a model from benchmarks tells you little about your own prompt. The only real test is to run your prompt on each model and read the answers.

Multi-model prompt bench runs one prompt on several models at the same time and puts the answers next to each other, with speed and cost.

How it works

  1. Type a prompt once. It runs on several models at the same time.
  2. You see each answer next to the others, how long each model took, what the call cost, and the exact model version that answered.
  3. Add a rewrite of your prompt and both versions run on every model, so you can tell whether the wording or the model made the difference.

Getting the most from it

  • Use a real prompt from your work, with a real input, not a toy question.
  • Weigh cost and speed against quality. The cheapest model that gives a good-enough answer is usually the right one for a task you run a thousand times.
