What it does

Finding a free domain usually means typing ideas into a registrar one at a time and watching them come back taken. Domain name finder checks all your ideas at once, on every extension you pick.

"Available" here means the registry has no record of the name, not a guess from a cached list. Anything the registry could not confirm is never shown as free.

How it works

  1. Type the names you are considering and pick the extensions you want.
  2. We check every idea on every extension, and every pair of ideas joined together, straight against the registry.
  3. Every free domain comes back in one list, ranked by how it sounds, how long it is and how easily it reads, with a shortlist of the strongest picks.
  4. Tell us what the name is for and the best ones are also graded against that.

Getting the most from it

  • Give it more ideas than you think you need. Joined pairs often turn up the best free names.
  • Register the one you pick straight away. Available today does not mean available next week.
